Today I watched "The Piano" film on YouTube. This movie is about a mute pianist, who has not spoken since 6 years old for unknown reason. Her daughter serves as her interpreter. Not being totally silent, she expresses her feelings through her piano playing. Her father forces her to get married to a man she doesn't even know. She has no feeling for him, probably because he doesn't appreciate her as she is. She falls in love with her husband's friend who likes to listen to her piano playing.
In my opinion, this is a great movie, for it has won Academy Awards. The actors and actresses played really well. One thing I like the most, is the music, especially "The Heart Asks Pleasure First". The first time I listened to it was some years ago. I felt like crying whenever I listen to it. Until now I still like to play it on my piano. It's so beautiful and the melody shows kind of...sorrow -the situation I'm facing now-.
However, there are some scenes I really despise. Some of the scenes are way TOO vulgar, e.g: the sexual activity that shows nudity and bloody violence against woman.
Overall, it's a good movie, but not recommended for children due to some scenes I mentioned above.
